Halsduk by Esmee is known for its unique and traditionally crafted scarves with Scandinavian influences. Besides handmade woven, knitted and silk scarves, the collection is now expanded with a silk kimono. The kimono (traditionally Japanese) is, like the rest of the collection, immersed in Swedish atmospheres which is reflected in the characeristic (hand-drawn) print and the characteristic use of folklore colours. This in combination with the artisanal manufacture in the Netherlands makes the kimono unique in its kind. The kimono can be worn in different ways; for example, traditionally close with matching silk band or open on jeans. The kimono is handmade to order. The price is € 689,-
About Halsduk by Esmee
After knitting almost 150 metres of scarves, Esmee Markhorst decided to change tack in 2016. She left the management of her family business and turned her passion into her work. Halsduk by Esmee was born out of her love for Dutch craftsmanship and Scandinavia. The Scandinavian touch is not only reflected in the designs, but even in the name of the label. Halsduk means scarf in Swedish. Esmee stands for exclusivity, quality and sustainable production. That is why the scarves are produced to order and in limited quantities. Moreover, all handcrafted products are manufactured in the Netherlands. By combining high quality yarns and the different techniques, the shawls wear light and comfortable and the designs come out even better.
Halsduk by Esmee is located in House of Artisans at Roelof Hartstraat 5 in Amsterdam.
